Oahi Hawaii 2015

DAY 2:
We were still partly on Utah time when the morning came in Hawaii. At 6 in the morning we were up and getting to watch the sunrise because our bodies felt like it was 10 in the morning. We watched the sunset, made eggs and bacon for breakfast.Tanner and I needed to buy diapers and wipes because we forgot to buy them at the grocery store the night before. We went to the little ABC store in Ko Olina. It was nice to know that there was a little market close to us for if and when we needed something.
We spent the rest of the day relaxing at the beach and pool. We took naps and just enjoyed being in a no worries Hawaiian Condo Resort.Even just the Hawaiian humid air was a nice change from the Utah summer.
The lagoons were amazing. They were close to our condo but they were still the ocean with nice manicured sand. Layla really enjoyed herself at the beach. She loved the feeling of the water pulling her out. We had to watch her or she would just walk right into the water. We built little stand castles that Layla could kick or knock over.
The pool was nice because there was never more than 8 other people in the pool at the same time as us and it was a salt water pool that wasn't as strong as the ocean but you don't get the chlorine hair and smell.

For dinner that night we walked over to the little strip mall in Ko Olina and went to the Monkeypod. It was an all organic, locally grown restaurant.  Which we did not care that much about as long as it tasted good. I got fish and chips and Tanner got a hamburger. Both were delicious meals. They even had free noodles for Layla. The restaurant even had a live musician playing the whole time and he was pretty good. It was a nice dinner because I got to know Aubrey and Chance a little better.
