Taylor Family Pictures 2014
On Christmas Eve my mom's side of the family had everyone together for the first time in a few years and probably the last time for many years. Which means we needed to do a large family picture. My siblings and I decided to give my grandma the gift of getting a real photographer take pictures and not just a neighbor and to give her all the pictures and print them for her house.

Andrew and Jacqui's Wedding
My younger brother got married on January 9, 2015. They are so happy and I am so happy for them.
They got married in the Draper Utah Temple. It was a little cold that day but it was sunny and nice. We got to the temple and dropped Layla off with her and mine cousins to play with while we went to the sealing. It is so nice to be able to be in the temple with my parents, siblings, grandparents and aunts and uncles. Having a family that is able to do to that together is amazing and wonderful. My Grandpa Woolley was the one who performed the sealing for Andrew and Jacqui. That was such a cool experience to have him be able to perform that ceremony. It made me laugh and cry a little. Then we got to see Andrew and Jacqui smiling so big at being married. After the ceremony we congratulated them and went to get Layla to change her into her "wedding" dress. We got changed and went out to wait for the newly married couple to come out of the temple to take pictures.We took pictures and then Tanner and I went home for the hour and a half between the temple and luncheon and we relaxed and put Layla down for a nap.
They had their luncheon at Rodizo Grill in American Fork. It was nice to be like the only people there during luncheon time because we go the meat to be circling around a lot and pretty consistently. It was great and we all stuffed ourselves. We were so full for most of the rest of the day. It was fun to see part of their wedding video and getting to watch pictures of their relationship and then growing up.
The reception was down at the Provo city library. It was decorated so pretty. It is so hard to explain. I hope the pictures can show how pretty it was. We talked with family and friends. They did the normal cutting the cake, tossing the bouquet and throwing the garter. It was fun. Then they did the first dance and had a little dance party after. Layla was loving the music and dancing. We got a few videos of it but she was loving it.
Then, they left on their honeymoon and we cleaned up and it was a beautiful wedding and reception. I cant wait for their life together and for us to get to know them as a couple better.

Happy New Years from the Nilsson's
There is just so much to write that I cannot decide if I should or if I should just let pictures tell the story of our New Years Eve and New Years Day. I love this holiday especially the way the Woolley's celebrate. It means spending a lot of time together, going bowling at BYU, eating a lot and playing games, watching movies and getting little to no sleep. This year we did not sleep over ( this is the family tradition to have the cousins sleep over at Grandma and Grandpa Woolley's) but that did not matter because we still left late and went back in the morning. It is the best way to finish out the holiday season.

Austin and Jessica's Wedding
Austin and Jessica got married on December 27, 2014. The night before the wedding they had a wedding dinner that was so pretty. Marci put together a wonderful evening of appetizers, dinner, dessert and a little program. The food was yummy and we got to sit by Grandma and Grandpa Nilsson and some of Austins friends Grant and Stephanie. We really enjoyed that conversation with them. I was a little frustrated that night so I was not the best company and was a little annoyed at some people but once the program started I was so happy to get to see Tanner sing. Even though the song did not actually go very smoothly I enjoyed the entertainment of the whole program. For the program, Elder McKay Nilsson narrated, Tanner, his dad and two brothers sang " The most wonderful time of the year", Aubrey and Chance sang the song from Frozen, "Love is an open door". Then we heard speeches from Austin and Jessica's best friends. It was a wonderful night. We stayed late to clean up even with a sick baby and me being a little upset but Tanner and I could both tell that it was a nice thing to do for Tanner's parents and Austin and Jessica after they put together a wonderful evening. I got to sit and talk to Aubrey which was such a good distraction from the night I was having. I am so blessed to have a wonderful sister in law.
Then the next day was the actual wedding day! We got ready and headed to drop of Layla and Annalee and Chad's home. After we left we got a call from Annalee that Layla had a fever of 102.0 I was so worried and almost didn't go to the sealing because I didn't want to leaver her while she was sick.I decided that since she was asleep at Annalee and Chad's that it was okay for me to be at the sealing and then do pictures and then leave right away! We headed back and picked up Layla and went home to help Layla calm down and get better hopefully from her sickness and eat a little. We got her to eat a little but her fever was not really going down. She wouldn't take any medicine so that did not help. We got up to the reception that was at this very pretty reception center. It was so pretty. We really enjoyed our time at the reception but it was hard to do to much because Layla just wanted to sleep but it was SO loud. The band they had was nice but to loud in that little area.We got to talk with so many family members and friends. That night Leanne also was in labor with little Sophie who was born that next morning. We stayed until they cut the cake, did the first dance, and dad and daughter dance. It was so great. Christmas Christmas Time is Here!
The eleventh day was Christmas Eve. This day is always spent with my Grandma Taylor. She is a incredible women with so many talents and love that I hope to gain some of that over the years. We have our traditional meal of oyster stew(because of my Grandpa Taylor) and ham. It was wonderful. This year was a little extra crazy with family pictures being taken before hand because ALL of the family that could be there (besides 1 missionary) was there so we needed to document it. Luckily, Aubrey, Tanners wonderful sister was able to take some time and get a picture of our whole family. This was the Christmas gift from my siblings to my Grandma Taylor.
We also did a grandchildren gift exchange for the first time and it was wonderful! All the kids liked there little $1 gifts and had fun playing with each other.
Then we did a little Christmas performance. We heard songs be played on the Cello, piano, singing and stories from the Bible being read and The Night before Christmas. Tanner even joined in a did a little beat boxing for the family. This is such a incredible time I have to spend with the Taylor side of the family because it happens so little especially when all my cousins are around. Then it was time to head home because Santa was on his way and we need to go to bed.
By the time we got home and put Layla to sleep. We had a little time to spend getting everything ready for Christmas morning. These hours at night are my favorite to spend with Tanner. As we both work together to get things ready so we can both be happy and have wonderful time giving to each other.
Finally, CHRISTMAS DAY! We love Christmas Day but it has turned into a busy, crazy, tiring day for us; with 6 homes, a missionary call, and hours of driving in the car. We do it because what better way to share the spirit of Christmas then to be able to spend it with those you love and we do. All parents and grandparents get to spend time with us on Christmas day and that makes it all worth it. Because it is just as exciting to share our time with others as gifts. We are so blessed! Every year we get more and more and feel more and more love. I say it all the time but we are so blessed to live where we do, have the family we do, have the means, have the gospel, know of our Savior's love for us and know that we are an eternal family. We are truly blessed and Tanner and I try to recognize that each day!

Happy Happy Birthday to You and You!
We love birthdays in this house. We get so excited and we spend days celebrating.
This year was Layla's first birthday. We decided on her actual birthday that we would take her to the Hogle Zoo to see the "Zoo Lights". It was a fun experience to see her face light up when she saw a twinkling light and pointing at it and then pointing at us and then at the light again to make sure that we see it too. The animals were very lively at night and it was so fun to see them walking around. One of my favorite parts of the night was when we were walking back to the front to leave and we decided to stop where there is the giraffe look out and there was music playing and we decided to stop for a few minutes and sing and dance around. I think Tanner and Layla had a lot of fun. We definitely wore our little Layla out and she slept well after that.
The next day we thought it would be a great idea to spend the day having a birthday party for Layla with the family. We had both sides of the family come over to our home and we invited our few closest friends also. We had presents and then the traditional eating of the cake for the baby. For us, we found that Layla was scared of the cake. We sang to her, I helped her blow out the candle, we all cheered and she got scared and would not touch the cake after that. It was hard to understand but we are happy that we have a baby that will choose a banana over cake and that she knows what she wants. She was also very blessed to have a wonderful family that gave her so many wonderful gifts. She loves each one of them! Spending time with family is so wonderful and is such a good connection to have as time goes on and I am hoping to help Layla understand that bond.
That night we had the chance to go up to John and Brin's Christmas party. They were such wonderful party hosts and we were able to eat yummy food prepared by Brin. Then we got to chat with some friends and meet new people. It was great to see some of Tanner's siblings there too. Then we played a little gift exchange game which was so much fun! There were some really good gifts which makes the game interesting when you are stealing things from each other back and forth and around.
Then my birthday was that Sunday the 14th. Tanner spoils me very year with home made breakfast. He made me blueberry pancakes with my favorite vanilla nutmeg hot milk. and he got me some wonderful gifts and flowers. Then we went to church and I taught a lesson on the Saviors birth and how that is a "good tiding of great joy". The Savior came to this year for us and his atonement is how were are able to be happy and live with him again. This was one of my favorite lessons to teach. Then, Tanner made me a steak dinner, with red potatoes and roasted asparagus. I am so incredibly blessed to have him and my husband to do so much for me.
Since Tanner and I were dating he has done the "12 days of birthday Christmas" for me. Since my birthday is 12 days away from Christmas it fits perfectly. This year started with that wonderful meal and relaxing Sunday at home. Monday, Tanner took me to the Eclipse Christmas Concert which I love Christmas concerts but it is even better when I know multiple of their songs. Tuesday night we had my birthday dinner with my family and we ate at LaJolla Groves down in The Shops at Riverwoods. It was such a fun time with my family and the environment was so fun down there during Christmas time. Wednesday, I got the surprise of getting to go on a sleigh ride and meet Santa. We went up to the homestead in Midway. Layla was so fun watching the horse pull our sleigh and then getting scared sitting on Santa's lap. It was such a wonderful experience and it helps to get in the spirit of the season. Thursday through Sunday, we took a little trip down to St. George with my family to spend the time at my parents condo. It was perfect down there. We watched Christmas movies, made Christmas cookies, swam, went birding (the boys) and spend time playing games as a family. It is always funny to spend time with my siblings. I do have to say it was a little sad to get down there and realize that my siblings were all staying at my sister in laws families condo and we were going to be with my parents. I was thinking that I came down to spend time as a family and half of them are not even going to be with us. But it turned into a wonderful blessing to get to spend time with my mom alone for a few hours each day. We are so a like in many ways and I love that and am so proud to be her daughter.
The ninth day of Christmas Birthday was getting to spend the day with Tanner's siblings at their Christmas FHE. It was so much fun getting to spend time with everyone and watch "The best of the Nilsson's" home videos. It is always hilarious to see Tanner when he was little and makes me so excited for our children to grow up to that age and see how alike they will be. Part of the evening was dinner, sing Christmas songs( my favorite part), doing siblings gift exchange and then listening to a little letter from McKay in Norway. It was a beautiful evening with the family. The spirit of Christmas is so strong at that home it makes me so excited each time we go there. The tenth day of Christmas Birthday was Leanne's baby shower! ( which good thing we did early because the baby came 5 days later) I love having Leanne as a sister in law and I cant wait to have play dates with our kids together as they grow up and to have a wonderful friend.
