Big Moments

So far this month has been filled with so many big events that I thought I will write a post now and probably one later. This month has been filled with sadness and with joy.

This month Tanner lost his Grandma Haws.

She got sick and went into the hospital and a week later she passed away. We still do not know the exact reason. She will be very missed by her family and friends. Just this past weekend was her funeral and it was very well put together. Tanner got to sing "Savior Redeemer of my Soul". His grandma loved to listen to him sing and so he was happy to be able to sing at her funeral. Tanners mom and Tanner's immediate family sang a song. It was the first time I really sang with Tanners family and they all have such good voices so I was a little out of place. It was great to share in the moment though. There were three other songs that were sung and they were incredible. One of the songs was "I am a child of God" that was sung by the grandchildren.  There were stories shared by two of her kids, her two sisters and a grandchild. She was an incredible women and accomplished so much in her life and everything she put her mind too she accomplished. She will be incredible missed!

Here are the links to her obituary and a video of pictures of her life.

The good news from this month :

 We have a new niece.
Her name is, Grace Emeline Nilsson

I was thinking back on the month of October and I realized that I did not have much to write about but that I did want to share what was going on in our life this month.  I am just going to post a bunch of pictures from our month.

September 2013

Septemeber was  a eventful month for Tanner and I. We moved into our new house in Lehi. We had our two year anniversary and I had my last day of work and our baby just keeps growing and so does my belly.
Beginning of Septemeber

The keeps to our new house in our kitchen.

Tanner sent me flowers at work for our anniversary.

Since our anniversary was on a Sunday we made a special dinner for ourselves.

This is my belly at the end of September

Tanner took me to Chef's Table for our anniversary and  to celebrate moving into our new house.
It was very yummy.

We are having such a wonderful time in this phase of our life and it is such an adventure. It will just get better as time goes on and we cant wait till our little girl finally comes! Here is our last picture of my belly. Only 2 months to go till little baby Nilsson is here!

Missions, Missionaries, House and Baby

August was such a blur for Tanner and I. We had so much going on we were almost never at home. Every night we were doing things with family and friends or at our house that was being built.
This month we had two brothers leaves on missions and one cousin come home from his mission. We had another ultrasound to see our baby!! We saw her face and heart this time. She is just a cute baby already!
This was my last month of working full time and then its to part time then nothing..... it will be weird to be at home. I forgot what it was like to be at home in the middle of the day in the middle of the week.
Tanner and I are both enjoying being done with school and getting to have a "real" adult life.
We have some pictures of the months events and it looks somethings like this.......

The progression of the outside of our house from the beginning of August to the end.

My belly just keeps getting bigger! ( Tanner and I only remember to take pictures when I am just about to get in bed and I have no makeup on.)

Mckay went to the Provo MTC on August 21

It has been a great month and so much has been going on and hopefully by the end of September we will be in a new house and we will be even that much close to having our baby girl!!

Fishing in Alaska

Fishing in Alaska was such a great experience! Tanner and I went up to Soldotna Alaska with my family to go fishing. We caught so many fish! We brought home 500 lbs of fish with us. It was mostly  sockeye salmon, halibut, silver salmon, rock fish.
This was Tanner's first time really traveling with my family. It was fun to have the whole family there with us. We flew into Anchorage and then slept there for the first night and then drove to Soldotna. On our drive there we stopped at a wild life conservation center and got to see all the animals we wanted to see in Alaska but we did not have to see them in the wild. We saw moose, bear, elk, caribou, buffalo, and other animals.
The rest of the week was spent fishing in the Kenai River and the boys spend one day out in the ocean fishing, and we went to Homer another. We loved our experience in Alaska and would go again. Especially now that we know what to expect.
