Prince Edward Island, Where The Islands have a Prince
Day two on Prince Edward Island started out wonderful. We got to sleep in and knowing that it was a beach day helped me be more relaxed. This was the relaxing part of our almost two week vacation and I was going to take every opportunity to relax. Tanner and I decided we wanted to take this time to be alone. We drove to the other side of the island which took like 40 minutes. We went to the beach in Cavendish. This is the land of Anne of Green Gables. It was so beautiful!! Tanner and I went to the beach. Went home and got ready and we hit the town. We wanted to find our traditional vacation spot t-shirts. It was so fun but being in town and getting to walk around. Then it was time for dinner with the Westhaver's. It was a steak dinner. It was so delicious. Little Tanner LOVES meat so we was chowing down. While Alexander doesnt really like meat so he got pizza. The boys really wanted to watch Home Alone 2. Tanner and I both had not seen that movie since we were young. We realized that it was a very funny movie and the boys loved it. While we were watching the movie little Tanner just wanted to come and sit on our lap. He was so cute!!

Prince Edward Island AKA P.E.I
It all started early in the morning. We got up and packed the car once again and headed to an Irving gas station where we were meeting the Westhaver's. It was about time to hit the road to Prince Edward Island. We drove and drove and drove and then we got to Truro. Tanner and I wanted to see the Westhaver's new house, they were planning to move there in just a short amount of time. The boys were so excited about there new place. Alexander and Little Tanner were so happy that they could hear the trains. It was so cute!
We saw their house and then it was time to hit the road so that we could make it to the ferry on time.
That's right I am getting on a boat! Even when there is a way to drive there! It ended up being really enjoyable. We got to the ferry and it wasn't time yet so we all went into the building to wait and eat lunch.
Then it was time to get back to the car and head on to the ferry. We got on the ferry, walked around and then it was time to be on our way. While on the boat we watched some Olympics, talked, and stood outside so that we could feel the sea air on our faces.
The ride went very quick. I felt fine the whole time! Then as we got back into the car, we drove off the ferry and it started to rain. It was so pretty.

We drove until we got to Charlottetown. That is where we were staying. It was a great town and very focused on vacations. Tanner and I took a walk around and we ran into this gorgeous church.

As we were trying to find our cottage we were staying at with the Westhaver's we started to drive further away from what looked like normal civilization. It was on a golf course so we assumed more than what we got on first glance. We were scared. We decided the smart thing to do was to ask if we can see the cottage before we pay more money to stay in somewhere very .......unsafe, unsanitary, a health risk and the list could go on. We ended up driving up a very steep hill to get to the cottage and through a little grove of trees. We got there, inspected the place and noticed that it would be safe (besides the little bit dangerous stairs) and sanitary. It was going to work great for all of us to stay in.
It was dinner time and time to head to the pier. It was a relaxing night with good food, cows ice cream, beautiful sights, 2 ferrets and a sailing competition. As always it was a very eventful day!

Sunday In Canada
It was a very interesting day! I was getting a little overwhelmed by Sunday. I was meeting so many new people and doing so much. Being a church was like I was at home. The lessons were the same, the church was the same, just the people were different. It was such a comforting feeling and it helped me re-charge. I got to meet one of the members that Tanner had baptized on his mission. Her name was Tanya Pentz and her beautiful daughter. We got to spend the afternoon with them, the Whynacht and the Westhaver's.
By the afternoon, I was ready for a nap before we headed back the pot luck that the ward was putting on for Tanner. They were all so happy to see him. We then spent the rest of the night meeting new people and talking and for Tanner catching up with many people he has not talked to for years.
As the night was ending we wanted to stop by one more persons house before we left Kentville. We stopped at Matt and Ashleigh's house. We visited them. Matt was out of town but Ashleigh with her two kids Dillian, Colbey. They were such a cute family. Also, the way that she talked and told her kids to be good was incredible. I have never seen any mother do that. It makes me want to act the way she did with her kids with my own kids someday. It was a very good night!
