*Easter Church Outfit*

Before Church on Easter Sunday we were watching some of the Easter videos on the Mormon Channel. Many showed the garden scene and then the crucifixion. As Layla was watching them, she turned to Tanner and said, " Jesus sad?" Tanner said, "yes, he is sad because he is atoning for all of us." Layla said to Tanner. " Jesus, hug, all better." She did this anytime Jesus was getting hurt, crying, or looking sad.
It was a great moment to teach Layla about our Savior and his love for each of us. He explained to her about the atonement and about the Resurrection and how it brings us all so much happiness.

Easter is one of my favorite holidays! It is a time to reflect on our Savior. He truly is my redeemer and yours! He bled and died for my sins and shortcomings. The atonement is real and is there for everyone to use and become more like our Heavenly Father everyday! Because of this atonement I can have direction in my life to know what is MOST important and how to best serve our Lord and Savior.  He truly was risen and because of him I can have great joy in my life!

Vocal Point's 25 Year Reunion

Vocal Point Reunion
VP25
Words cannot describe this weekend. Vocal Point is such an incredible group of men. They have had so much influence through their music and through the way they represent themselves. They get to share their talents and testimony of the gospel through music and that blesses lives all over the world. We were able to meet and get to know so many more of the alumni and their families this time and they are still incredible men and their wives are equally wonderful. Some of the wives put in  a lot of time and effort to help with not only the reunion but with helping Vocal Point stay successful. It was amazing. I hope I can be like so many of those women, a few years down the road.

Tanner has been blessed to have a wonderful gift with singing and beatboxing. He has been able to share that through Vocal Point. This weekend we got to reminisce about his time in Vocal Point, especially the "Sing off" group.  We were both able to catch up with old friends and make new friends and life long connections with others because of this blessing of Vocal Point.

They got to make a music video with the alumni, perform two numbers in the concert (Sing and Nearer my God to thee) and did many other socials, receptions and meetings.

Since my Uncle Danny was in Vocal Point as well, I got to spend the weekend with Danny, my Aunt Staci and her kids.Which was really nice to have actual family there. Even though Vocal Point is a "family" as well!  As part of that, the alumni's kids (10-22) performed a song in the concert. It was amazing! My cousin Elizabeth got pulled up on stage from one of the current members Karl and she was so cute and nervous up there, so of course I took a picture.

I wish I could share all the pictures and videos of them singing but I will just share three of my favorites.

Park City Getaway 2016

Park City Cabin Getaway
For Valentines Day Tanner gave me a gift of a long weekend trip to Park City. Thursday- Sunday we spent our time together playing games, sledding, snow shoeing, watching movies, eating snacks and making really yummy food. This was such a wonderful vacation. We were both ready for a sleep in, stay in your pajamas all day, do nothing, play and eat a lot vacation. This was the perfect fit.
I can't express how much I love that my husband knows me so well. He takes time to be with me and Layla as much as possible and  he helps to fulfill my desire for adventure in so many ways! Those things make me know how much my husband loves me. This was a perfect Valentines Day gift!
