Adventures in July

Part of our Garden
Its been growing so well. We have so many tomatoes, zucchini, cucumbers and lettuce. I love growing a garden and going outside every day to harvest what has grown.
Reading Time
Everyday before Layla's nap we read and she is starting to love holding the book herself and pointing out things on the page.

Tanner was able to meet and talking with Jeff Thatcher from Rockapella. He has used many of the sounds Jeff Thatcher does when he beat-boxes so it was great they got to talk.

Alec with the nieces before he went back out into the mission field. The girls were struggling. They were little but they could scratch and wack each other.

Temple Walk
One night we decided we would drive out to the temple and walk around. It was so much fun getting to take pictures of Layla. The temple was closed for cleaning so we were the only ones there. After that we walked around Day Break and then we went over to a classic car, car show. It was so much fun. Then on the way home Layla throw up for the first time. It wasn't just spit up it was SO much and smelly. It was so sad but Layla felt happy after that.

Albion Basin
Tanners family went camping at Albion Basin for the wild flower festival so we decided to drive up there and we were able to walk around and see so many beautiful fields of wild flowers. Layla liked being outside and seeing Grandma and Grandpa Nilsson.

Eclipse 6 Concert
This was Layla's first concert and she liked the music and getting to hang out outside.  We were able to go because they offered tickets to Vocal Point alumni and we love going to concerts and getting in for free is even better.

REMIX Vocal Academy
My cousin Jonathan went to ReMix Vocal Academy again this year. Our friend McKay was the one that started this camp up and Tanner has helped out in the past but this year he didn't but we were able to go down for their show. The kids are very talented and it seemed liked they learned a lot. It was so much fun getting to see friends and family. Layla really liked the kids singing but didn't mind sitting in the dark so much.

Visiting Baby Chloe Coulter
Tanner and I were finally able to go up to the hospital to visit our friends baby. She was born at 27 weeks and was very tiny but she is growing and doing well. We went up to the hospital but we couldn't take Layla into the NICU so we took turns going in to see baby Chloe. While Tanner was in with John, Brin and Chloe, Layla and I sat in the hall way playing and taking pictures.

Our first trip to the outdoor pool in Lehi.

Layla and Tessa with Great Granny T (My grandma Taylor) at my cousin Owen's Farewell.

Cinderella
My cousin Emily played Cinderella at the Hale Center Theater in Orem. She did a wonderful job and I was so glad that Tanner and I could go down and see her. While there we ran into some friends which was really nice since we had not seen them in awhile.
